Great repetition with the sunflowers field, and the trees spread in the back are also wonderful (the sense of depth they add). However the distant background throws me away a bit. You can't do anything about "fixing" the way it is, but as a photographer you could have opened more shutter and maybe lost the background with a little blur. G

Please join me in congratulating johnwilliams/John , whose photo Winter Olympics was chosen as the Photo of the Week for June 6 - July 11. Jurors liked how it depicted an interesting view of flock behavior on ice rather than on the wing. The photo conveyed a hurried energy, almost comedic panic in the birds' rush for food.

The Photo of the Week was selected by an anonymous jury process involving eight of your photoSIG peers. To be considered for Photo of The Week, a photographer must have submitted 10 conforming critiques within the week of the photo's submission. Individual jury members nominated photos that were submitted between June 6 and July 11. These photos were then voted upon by the entire jury in order to select the Photo of the Week. This week, we had nominations from the categories of Architecture, Urban, and Landscape.
