Really very nice. Good composition and complimentary color adainst otherwise black and white image. Because of this it's striking and appealing. Well exposed and fine detail. Don't know why the other ratings were so stingy. Seems like a keeper to me. 3+++

I generally concur with the prior critiques. It is obvious to me that if you crop about 20 percent from the right, you will move the leaf off center AND create a diagonal from the darker crack that adds impact. I think that the rock (looking like concrete) is a bit less interesting than something looking less manmade. The dark hole at the lower left is an element, that along with the adjoining crack anchors the shot. Good job. Keep shooting. Thanks for posting. Bill

Needless to say, the key point is sharp enough and eye-catching against the gray background. However, it is too center and the picture should be far more appreciable for me if more space could be either spread out to the left or the right.

this is a sharp and full of contrast--color and grey, hard and soft--photo. however, in my own opinion, i will like to see the leave at the right hand side and lower position.

This is great, i really like this although i think you could have improved the impact of your idea a little bit. I like the contrasting colours and the textures in particular, of the veins in the leaf and the cracks in the concrete. I think the concept works better if you got in tighter so that these textures come across more and these details fill more of the image. Th leaf is a little too central for my tastes and the dark hole in the bottom left side distracts my eye. Any more from this shoot? Would love to see them if so, Matt
